K1: How long have you been at CHS?

B1: Including being a kindergarten intern, after school teacher and camp counselor, almost 1 ½ years

K2: What is your favorite sport?

B2: Baseball. Go Sox!

K3: Do you play an instrument?

B3: I used to play piano but was only ever good at singing. I’m not great at instruments.

K4: What is your favorite food?

B4: The cheeseburgers my dad makes by hand and grills for us in the summertime.

K5: Do you have any siblings?

B5: I have 2 sisters, an older sister and a younger one.  

K6: What classes do you teach?

B6: My Masterpiece, Star Wars Art, I help in sewing and sometimes teach Rainbow Loom.

K7: Did you come here when you were a kid?

B7: Unfortunately for me, nope.

K8: What do you do other then after school?

B8: I teach Spanish at Atrium School and work for Paint Nite.

Summary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Harry Potter only knew he was a wizard when it was his 11th birthday. When he turned 11 he was invited to Hogwarts. Since he didn’t know where to go so Hagrid the Gamekeeper at Hogwarts came to get him. He didn’t know he had any money but he really had a lot in the wizarding bank Gringotts. Once he got to Hogwarts he realized that there was a teacher that hated him. Harry hated Severus Snape. Hogwarts was fun and had a lot of mysteries for him.

My Big Gymnastics Win

I heard the crowd cheering for me and that made me feel excited. When I walked into the gym, I could already hear the National Anthem. Sometimes I like to hum the song with my friend Maggie. When I am about to start my routine, I am very excited and a little nervous but usually I am just excited. I think gymnastics is fun but it can get hard sometimes. My floor routine is complicated but once I get used to it and it becomes easier to do. Sometimes I get so nervous that I forget my floor routine. However the easiest routine is the vault routine because all you have to do is run, punch the board with your feet and then push off of the vault table. I love doing gymnastics and it is so much fun. I get nervous on the bars because of the squat on and the flyaway. Those skills are really hard to do and the squat on is hard because some people miss their feet on the bar.  The beam is hard because you have to balance when you are doing hard skills. I like when people in the crowd cheer for me. Now it is time to know who won on vault and the winner is Julia! I was so excited that I just won vault. I went to get my trophy and it was so big I could not tell you. I won because I had the best form and had very straight legs. My score was 9.04.

TZ: I have been at camp for 13 years and this is my fifth year at after school.

TZ: Pizza and cereal.

CE: if you had a superpower what would it be?

TZ: The ability to fly.

TZ: Dogs.

TZ: Toy story.

3rd Grade Classroom Stuff

The third graders are starting their studies of Ancient Egypt, and are about to have their first field trip. Also, in math, they are learning about place values, and are already getting into the hundred thousands. Finally, third graders are creating their portfolios where they will hold all of the work that they complete over the year.

KA: Justin Timberlake is my favorite celebrity because I think he’s a great singer and dancer.

KA: I’ve been to a lot of concerts: Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Usher, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, John Legend, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz

KA: I have lots of great friends at CHS!
